What do I need to use HotSpot service?
- You will need a 802.11b-enabled (WiFi) card built-in your laptop computer or PDA. Many newer computers and PDAs come with wireless cards already installed. So you do not have to worry about WiFi network card.
Is the Internet connection secure?
- If protocols such as SSL are employed, the transaction become as secure as if you were using a wired connection.
Do I have to worry about microwave radiation ?
- You do not have to worry more than using mobile phone. The power emitted is generally lower than that of mobile phones and the transmitting antenna is usually much further away as well.
Is this technology reliable?
- Microwave wireless connections are very reliable. Once a link is set up with strong performance, even severe weather conditions make little difference.
Is this technology compatible with other platforms than Microsoft?
- Yes, you can use your Mac, Psion, Linux or whatever you normally use.
There is no wireless card installed in my laptop. Help!
